Logistics Operations System
PCEx Logistics Operations System
Centralized shipment, hub, partner, delivery, commission, remittance, and reporting workflows for a nationwide full-truck-load logistics operation.
Context
Business / Industry Context
PCEx is a Philippine full-truck-load logistics provider serving businesses nationwide through dedicated truck bookings and a distributed partner network. Its operating model includes internal administrators, finance users, partner hubs, and delivery operations working together across shipment processing, hub coordination, direct delivery, commissions, remittance, and reporting. PCEx also operates a business-partner network consisting of HFO, CFO, and DFO operators who manage local or regional logistics activity within the wider PCEx network.
Problem
PCEx needed a centralized operational system capable of coordinating shipments across multiple roles and partner hubs while also connecting logistics activity with commission, remittance, and reporting workflows. Without a unified workflow, shipment status, hub activity, delivery progress, and financial handoffs would be difficult to manage consistently across the network.
Goals
- Centralize shipment records and operational status tracking.
- Support role-specific workflows for administrators, finance teams, hubs, and delivery operations.
- Coordinate shipment movement across partner hubs and last-mile delivery workflows.
- Support third-party logistics fallback when required.
- Connect shipment activity with commission and remittance workflows.
- Improve operational and financial visibility across the logistics network.

Solution
Built a centralized logistics operations platform that connects shipment processing, manifests, partner hubs, last-mile delivery, 3PL fallback, commissions, remittance, and reporting in one role-aware system. The platform was designed around PCEx's distributed operating model, where different teams and business partners require access to different parts of the shipment lifecycle.

Technology
Result / Impact
- Brought shipment, partner-hub, delivery, commission, remittance, and reporting workflows into one operational platform.
- Improved visibility across administrative, finance, hub, and delivery operations.
- Created a structured system for coordinating a distributed logistics partner network.
- Reduced dependence on fragmented operational and financial tracking processes.
What I Learned / Design Decisions
- Designed access and workflows around distinct operational roles rather than exposing one generic interface to every user.
- Modeled partner hubs as part of the operational network instead of treating them as simple user accounts.
- Connected commission and remittance logic directly to shipment activity and operational handoffs.
- Designed reporting around operational exceptions, shipment movement, and financial accountability instead of only static records.
